El Tesoro de la Raíz follows Inés, a queer, first-generation Mexican American woman, as she moves into a new home and finds herself moving through the rooms of her own history.
Each object she unwraps unlocks a chapter — a devout Catholic childhood, a queer awakening, a theater life built in Los Angeles, and the quiet devastation of outgrowing the religious spaces that once held her.
